Part Time Accounts Clerk

Leading global business in Chatham is looking for a positive and energetic Accounts Clerk to join their growing team on a part time basis.

The Accounts Clerk will be supporting to complete all accounts and admin functions in a timely and accurately manner, in compliance with company, industry and regulatory standards, whilst maintaining good working relationship with all stakeholders.

Detailed duties include;

  • Raising supplier purchase orders
  • Set up new customer accounts on the portal and complete vendors set up forms
  • Checking and processing staff expenses and travel expenses
  • Invoice filing
  • Checking and reconciling Debtors and Creditors statements
  • Other ad hoc general admin support, including reception duties and staff holiday bookings

In order to apply, we are looking for;

  • A comprehensive bookkeeping background relating to Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
  • IT literate with good MS Excel skills
  • Experience and adaptability to use different accountancy software packages
  • Good attention to detail, as well as excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator (written/ oral) and able to build rapport, quickly and effectively
  • Motivated, self-starter that is highly organised with strong attention to detail

The role is offered on a Part Time basis, and will be c20 hours per week, ideally spread across three full days.  It’s a fantastic company that has seen a lot of growth globally, hence the need to increase the back office support here in Chatham.
