Finance Supervisor required for a significant sized business in Maidstone on a 15 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity.  The position will have responsibility for both the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions of this dynamic organisation.  The Finance Supervisor will oversee the collection of cash, manage aged debt, ensure credit limits are maintained, payments to suppliers are made in accordance with terms, payment runs.

The role will lead the teams to ensure the smooth running of both purchase ledger and sales ledger functions to optimise the cashflow for this highly reputable business.

Detailed duties of the Finance Supervisor include;

  • Day to day management of sales ledger and purchase ledger teams
  • Ensure timely collection of cash and manage aged debt
  • Overseeing accounts and ensuring they operate within their credit limit
  • Liaising with customers and third parties to answer queries
  • Ensure payments are made to suppliers accurately and on time
  • Oversee the payment runs, ensuring on time and accurate at all times
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
  • Regular debt reporting
  • Management reporting of debtors and creditors, developing KPIs
  • Ensure processes are fit for purpose, suggesting efficiencies where appropriate
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting Accountant with queries

In order to apply, the Finance Supervisor should be a confident manager/supervisor that has led teams of a similar nature within a large business.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are also essential to be able to communicate effectively with wider stakeholders whilst effectively managing the teams.

The Finance Supervisor role is offered on a 15 month fixed term contract basis.
