Exclusive to Baywell Search, a Finance Manager is required for a fundraising Charity in Tonbridge.  This interesting and varied Finance Manager role will work with the Head of Finance to provide a range of accurate and timely financial information, including all bookkeeping activities, bank reconciliation, assisting with management accounts. 

The organisation works with families to help them fundraise for specialist healthcare for their children with disabilities or illness, often not freely available within the UK.  Part of the role will be to ensure funds are allocated accurately per campaign, and dealing with financial queries from the respective families.

Detailed duties of the Finance Manager include;

  • Recording and paying invoices, ensuring payments are made according to terms
  • Timely and accurate processing of donations, expense reimbursements, rents and receipts
  • Bookkeeping into Sage
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Processing gift aid
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
  • Supporting the preparation of Management Accounts
  • Assist with Year End accounts and working papers ready for Audit
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers, donors and families

In order to apply for the Finance Manager role we are looking for;

  • Relevant Bookkeeping experience in a varied role incorporating Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, bank recs as a minimum
  • Confidence to speak to suppliers and families on the telephone with regards to financial matters
  • Ideally AAT studier or Level 4
