Customer Operations Manager

Working for a thriving business on the outskirts of Canberbury, the Customer Operations Manager manages a range of processes that are central to business operations.  Supporting all functions throughout the business the Customer Operations Manager will work with commercial, warehousing, logistics, finance and production to ensure smooth business processes and excellent customer experience whilst addressing any gaps in the supply chain.

Duties of the Customer Operations Manager include;

  • Work closely with other Senior Leaders to deliver business objectives in an efficient manner
  • Oversee and manage the Commercial Operations department to ensure that orders are processed/checked correctly and that any gaps in supply chain or other disputes are identified and escalated in a timely manner
  • Upskill and train junior managers to ensure that people management responsibilities are completed correctly, in line with business objectives and as per company policy
  • Ensure the systems within the business are robust and regular reviews carried out to streamline and ensure efficiency
  • Ensure all relevant reporting is carried out and circulated to managers
  • Manage and oversee the recording and administration of 3rd party service provision

In order to apply, the Customer Operations Manager must demonstrate;

  • High level of numerical ability and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to excel in a fast paced environment and deal with several tasks at the same time
  • The ability to react quickly and decisively whilst having a clear understanding of the implications of decisions made.
  • Proficient in excel to at least an intermediate level
  • Previous operations experience within a fast moving, product based business
  • Ability to use a ERP system
  • People management experience
